What is check-in?
Check-in confirms that a participant is physically present on event day. It's optional but recommended to:
- Know who showed up
- Filter out no-shows
- Generate attendance statistics
Two ways to check in
1. Participant shows their QR
- MC enters the app or web
- Goes to their profile or the event
- Shows their check-in QR
- Organizer scans the QR with the app camera
2. Organizer scans
- Organizer opens the event Check-in section
- Uses the camera to scan each participant's QR
- On scan, the system records check-in automatically
Where to check in
- App (PWA): Ideal, has integrated camera
- Web: Also works if the device has a camera
Who can check in
Only event staff (organizer, admin) can record check-ins. Participants cannot self-check-in; they must be scanned.
See who checked in
In the event participants or check-in section you'll see:
- List of accepted registrants
- Who already checked in (and time)
- Who still needs to be registered
Filters and check-in
If you configured that only those who checked in can advance to filters:
- MCs without check-in won't appear as eligible to score
- Make sure to run check-in before starting filters
